Westhaven Appoints Ed Balon As A Technical Advisor And Grants Stock Options

Vancouver, B.C. - December 4th, 2012 - Westhaven Ventures Inc. (TSX-V:WHN) is pleased to announce that it has appointed Ed Balon as a technical advisor. Mr. Balon brings over 40 years of geological experience to Westhaven.

Throughout his career, Ed Balon has co-discovered several important deposits. Some of these include Gayna River zinc-lead, Northwest Territories; Logan zinc-silver-tin, Yukon Territory; Midway (Silvertip) silver-lead-zinc, northern British Columbia; and the Elk/Siwash high grade gold veins in southern British Columbia. Mr. Balon is widely recognized for identifying the Spences Bridge epithermal gold belt in southern British Columbia, where Westhaven’s Shovelnose gold project is located.

Mr. Balon graduated with a Diploma in Mining Engineering Technology from Northern College-Haileybury School of Mines, Ontario in 1970. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of BC (APEGBC).

Stock Options

Westhaven, pursuant to its incentive stock option plan, has granted 175,000 stock options to consultants of the company. The stock options are exercisable into common shares at a price of $0.20 per common share for a term of five years from the date of grant and are subject to regulatory approval.
