Vancouver, B.C. - November 9, 2015 - Westhaven Ventures Inc. (TSX-V:WHN) is pleased to report that it has completed drilling on its 18,412 hectare Shovelnose gold property, located within the prospective Spences Bridge Gold Belt (SBGB), approximately 30 km south of Merritt, British Columbia. The drill program consisted of 5 holes, totaling 1,408 metres of diamond drilling.
The Tower Creek valley, a prominent structural feature located between the Tower and Mik zones, was identified as a priority target for further evaluation. This drill program intended to evaluate this area, as well as targets within the property that have been identified based on ground geophysics. Drill hole SN15-01 tested a geophysical anomaly 400 metres southeast of the Tower Zone, holes SN15-02 and SN15-03 tested geophysical anomalies in the Line 6 zone, hole SN15-04 tested deeper extensions of the Tower Zone mineralization as detected in the 2014 drill program and hole SN15-05 tested the Tower Creek valley fault.
Drill hole SN15-05 intended to test the Tower Creek valley, a prominent structural feature located between the Tower and Mik zones. It intersected approximately 75 metres (170m-245m) of silicified rhyolites containing chalcedonic quartz veining (concentrated in areas), which contained clots and veins of marcasite pyrite and black pyritic veins. All samples have been submitted to the lab for assaying and will be reported when analyses for all holes are received.
